TEA: Australia 5-215 (Green 57, Carey 1)

Well that's a session won by Australia. Travis Head and Cameron Green batting superbly out there. It's a shame that Head fell straight after reaching his ton, but hopefully that doesn't diminish the job he did out there.

Australia was 3-12 when he came in and he went about digging them out of the hole, first with Marnus Labuschagne and then with Green. What a dig by the man who has justified his automatic return to the Test side after his COVID absence and taking the lead as the highest run-scorer in the series.

Meanwhile, Green has his second straight half-ton. What can he do batting with the tail?

And for England, pffffff. What do you do? When they got Marnus just before dinner you thought maybe they'd swung the momentum back in their favour, but Head and Green kept things rolling Australia's way. Once again England managed a nice couple of moments, but it just doesn't last.

Now Stokes and Robinson are both busted. On day one. Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood and Joe Root doesn't strike you as a 20-wicket attack in Australia, but there's a bit of life in this pitch and there should be tough batting periods under lights. England must take advantage.
